The SACEEC recently hosted an Inward Buying Mission to coincide with Electra Mining Africa 2018.
Delegates from Peru, Chile, Colombia, Ghana, Iran and Turkey all participated in the event sponsored by the SA Department of Trade and Industry (dti).
SACEEC members, its clusters and supply groups and MEMSA members were all given the opportunity to introduce their companies and products to the delegation at a ‘Bullring’ hosted at the Mandela Mining Precinct on the Monday evening.
Electra Mining Africa (EMA) prepared focused B2B meetings between the delegates and SA companies exhibiting at the event and company firm visits gave the delegation the opportunity to witness first-hand the manufacturing capability of SA companies supplying into the mining sector.
The SACEEC would like to thank MEMSA and the Mandela Mining Precinct for hosting the Bullring, dti for funding the mission, Specialised Exhibitions Montgomery and PR Partners for arranging access to EMA and the B2B meetings and most importantly our member companies for accommodating the delegation for firm visits and networking sessions, it was with absolute pride that we were able to showcase just a few of SA outstanding manufacturing companies.
