Mr Bruggeman, CEO of the South African Capital Equipment Export Council is passionate about South Africa; its past and its future, its difficulties and its potential. A mechanical engineer with a wealth of experience, who has works for the AfDB and the World Bank on the economics of machinery and equipment. He is a lover of wildlife and the African bush and is a keen nature conservationist.

Mr Jiyane, currently Chairman of the South African Capital Equipment Export Council is a businessman with over 30 years of corporate and executive management experience, primarily in the steel and the defence industry.
Hugh was a founding director of the SACEEC in 2000 and joined the SACEEC on a full-time basis at the beginning of 2017, primarily as result of the SACEEC Partnership with the Gauteng Province to promote employment in the manufacturing industry. Hugh qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1974. Hugh was a financial executive at a JSE listed company until 1996 after which he was a shareholder in a South African project management company involved in the sugar and timber industries. Hugh established a business consultancy after retiring in 2010 primarily focusing on the implementation of management systems and processing loan and grant applications for SMEs involved in manufacturing of equipment and machinery.
