The Valve and Actuator Manufacturers Cluster of South Africa (VAMCOSA) unveils a revitalisation initiative aimed at driving local industry standards and expanding global market reach. According to newly elected chairman Tshepo Mabona, “we have reinforced vision to promote local products, both within State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) and the private sector, VAMCOSA in
collaboration with the South African Capital Equipment Export Council (SACEEC), is committed to ensuring that South African-made valves and actuators are synonymous with high standards and quality.”
In line with its rejuvenated strategy, VAMCOSA places a high priority on skills transfer within the manufacturing industry, aiming to ensure that local manufacturers meet international best practices and quality norms.
As part of this effort, the cluster not only advocates within government circles to further industry interests but also works hand-in-hand with SACEEC to broaden its reach into lucrative export markets through organised trade shows and business missions. The revitalisation includes a comprehensive alignment of goals such as promoting localisation, empowering industry transformation, and establishing a respected quality brands to represent South African products.
