The SACEEC and Specialised Exhibitions Montgomery (SEM) have been laying the groundwork for an exhibition focused on general industry, energy and mining in Ghana. The first West African Industrial Trade Expo (WAITEX) will take place from 21-23 April 2020, with affordable group pavilion stands for SACEEC and MEMSA members.
In preparation the Africa Trade Group organised the ‘Doing Business in Ghana’ workshop aimed at providing members and interested exhibitors with information on industry in Ghana, as well as the WAITEX exhibition.
Presentations at the workshop were made by Patricia Boateng – Trade Attaché to the Ghana High Commission, Dave Norval – Oregon Ghana who spoke on the mining sector in Ghana and SACEEC CEO – Eric Bruggeman together with SEM’s Charlene Hefer.
Abiel Mohlahlo from the dti introduced the invited speakers, while Carolien van der Horst (SACEEC Business Development Manager) discussed the role of the Africa Trade Group and Elizabeth Jansen van Vuuren (MEMSA) presented possible funding options available to those interested in exhibiting at WAITEX.
